FILL IN THE BLANKS FRIDAY

1.   The best thing I did all week was  KEPT MY HOUSE CLEAN, SO THAT EVERY MORNING I WAS ABLE TO GET UP AND JUST MAKE THE BED, START LAUNDRY AND STRAIGHTEN UP.  IT WAS WONDERFUL
2.  KNOWING THAT MY CHILDREN ARE TAKEN CARE OF    makes me super happy.

3.  Pets are ONE THING THAT I ALWAYS GREW UP WITH AND WOULD NOT WANT TO BE WITHOUT IN MY HOME.

4.  BEING MARRIED TO THE SAME MAN FOR THE PAST 37 YEARS  is the best thing about my life.

5.  With the cooler weather I am looking forward to  SWEATS,  SPENDING TIME CURLED UP WITH A BOOK, THE LEAVES FALLING, HOT TEA, HOT CHOCOLATE AND CHILI.

6.  Something that's on my "wish list" right now is   NEW KITCHEN COUNTER.  THE ONE THAT I HAVE IS NOT LOOKING SO GOOD.  ESPECIALLY SINCE MY GIRLS HAVE LEFT HOT PANS AND NOW THERE ARE AREA THAT HAVE BURN SPOTS.  FORTUNATELY MY BAR IS ALREADY DONE IN GRANITE.  IT IS HALF WAY THERE.

7.  This weekend I am going to  STAY AT  HOME ON SATURDAY AND THEN SUNDAY GET UP AND ATTEND CHURCH, GO OUT TO EAT WITH MY HUBBY, THEN GO TO THE NURSING HOME TO VISIT WITH MY MOTHER-IN-LAW.

LAUREN AT "THE LITTLE THINGS WE  DO",  HAS A WEEKLY "FILL IN THE BLANK".  IT'S A GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR CREATIVE JUICES MOVING.  JUST SKIP ON OVER TO http://thelittlethingswedo.blogspot.com/2011/09/fill-in-blank-friday_22.html AND LET YOUR THOUGHTS TAKE OFF.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   One thing that is completely superfluous, but that I could never give up are : Carbs.  A couple of years ago, my Tommy decided that he was a carb-a-holic.  So needless to say, my cooking and baking has taken a turn.  The problem is that he will would eat the whole bag of candy, where I can just eat a few.  So while others may be able to do without the carbs, I could, but choose not to.  They make me happy, happy, happy!!!

2.  Having to get up in front of people   makes me feel awkward.

3.  I can't    imagine my home    without,    books  .

4.    Chili & Lemon Peanuts by Muchereos   is my favorite snack.

5.  Lately I've been     lazy about keeping my home as put together as I normally would.

6.  If at first you don't succeed    step back, grab a diet dr. pepper and a good book, relax and then go back to whatever it was that you didn't succeed at and try it again .

7.  Fall is    when the kids have gone back to school and I can get my house in order and start on new projects    .

Fill In the Blank Friday

1.   I am currently obsessed with     wanting everything to have a place.  It seems that as soon as I find a place for everything in my kitchen, someone brings more items in.  Like my darling husband.  He will clean his office, which is right beside the kitchen and of course his office is clean.  It is all in my kitchen.   What is a body to do?

2.  Today I am  ticked  because,  I thought I had all the laundry done.  But, oh, no, Gabrielle cleaned her room up and you would think that she also cleaned her closet and drawers out.

3.  The age I am is    56    and the age I feel is   according to how much sleep I had last night, and more important is my gray showing! it is amazing how much better I feel when I have my hair colored.

4.  My favorite place is    Can I really be honest here?  It was my home, but for the past months when I began to loose my space, I really began to not enjoy my home anymore.  I am one that enjoys my quiet time and that has mostly been taken away.  I smile alot and know that one day my life as I know it will return.  But until then I wait until late at night and hope that all sleep.

5.  Something I have been procrastinating is  sanding my kitchen walls and cabinets.  I want to paint the cabinets some color of red and the walls a Tuscany color.  We live in the country and I think that would give me the country feel that I am after.  I have a rather large kitchen, so I think that this would look good.

Gabrielle, Payton and Alexis

6.  The last thing I purchased was    shirts from "The New Black" a consignment shop for Payton.  They had some shirts come in from the store "BUCKLE" and that was a store that his Dad always shopped at. And then I got some shirts for Gabrielle.  Payton is a young man that lives with us and is finishing high school in December.  He is like the son, we never had.  He definitely keeps the young men that come around to see Gabrielle on their toes.

7.  The thing I love most about my home is       the bigness of it.  It is over 3,400 sq ft., two story and plenty of room for all the kids.  I love my kitchen the most.  It is large and when family come for gatherings we have plenty of cooking space.  The kids always enjoy the pool and the granddaughter has learned how to drive on the golf cart.  We live on 15 acres, and have 5 trailers on the place, with family living in at least 3 of them.  WE have four horses, bikes, go-carts, volleyball, fishing, and a paddle-boat.  So no one should be bored when they are here.  Oh, an a trampoline and swings.  What's not to love.  Except the clean-up!

Fill In The Blank Friday

This comes from The Little Things We Do.  Lauren does an awesome job keeping us on our toes and our brains thinking.  Skip over to her blog and join in the fun.

1.   I am  in love with the Master of the universe, JESUS, 56 years young, married to the best husband, who has put up with me for the last 37 years, four enchanting daughters, two exquisite granddaughters and one animal loving grandson and a TEXAN from my head to my toes (although my abode is now Alabama)

2.  The bravest thing I've ever done was  Leave my oldest and adorable Mandy in Texas when we moved back to Alabama.

3.  I feel prettiest when    I am in my jeans and a nice shirt.  It doesn't hurt to have my hair colored and no gray showing and perhaps a little makeup.  The saying that an old barn looks good with a fresh coat of paint, applies here.

4.  Something that keeps me awake at night is   when I am about to take a trip and I want to make sure to get up on time.  Right this moment my lovely mother-in-law is keeping me awake at 1:45 in the morning.  She is dressed for the day.

5.  My favorite meal in the entire world is    the chicken fajitas at the Alamo Cafe in San Antonio, TX.  It is a good thing that I don't live there.  I would for sure have to have a gym membership.

6.  The way to my heart is      quality time and pure unadulterated honesty.

7.  I would like to    spend a whole seven days all alone with a clean house, Julio chips, hot sauce, Diet Dr. Pepper and my vast array of books at my side.  I am not asking for much, am I?????  After this, I would for sure need the gym!

Fill in the Blank

1. I Wish  - That I lived in San Antonio, Tx, where my two oldest daughters live.

2. Yesterday I - Finished putting the lights and the decorations on the tree, dressed up the mantel and the piano for Christmas.  Also, I re-arranged all my succulents on new shelves in the sunroom,

3.  Today I will - Get the house clean and get the laundry done.

4.  Tomorrow I will - Get my hair washed, go out to lunch with my hubby and then at 4:00 I will leave for church. ( We have 1 service on Saturday nights and then 3 on Sunday)

I think that this a real person, but it is a snowman.
5.  May - I need to go by the phone store and take back a holder for my car.  I dropped my Droid Incredible and have to wait until the 22nd to get a new one.  And at that time, I am going to upgrade, so the holder I got will not work.

6.  Someday - All my children will have grown up and I will be able to keep my house clean and have time to sit back and read.

7.  I love - Jesus, my family, a clean and orderly house, to be with my Mandy at the bookstore (actually anywhere would be fine),Diet Dr. Pepper, and of course, BOOKS!

This post is part of, little things we do, that Lauren puts out every Friday.  Anyone is welcome to join in.

Fill in the Blank

1.  Holiday Spirit:  Spending time with your friends, watching Christmas movies, and remembering Jesus' birth.

2.  The holidays are incomplete without: cold weather, hot chocolate, family, fire in the fireplace and good     food.

3.  My favorite thing to do around the holiday is:  to bake sweets, decorate my home, be with my children.

4.  A holiday tradition my family and I have:  I wish that I had one.  If I did, I think that it would be that we   would play games and have snacks and just enjoy staying together the whole day.

5.  Holiday music:  My husband loves Christmas music.  I enjoy listening to it, but I can't take a full menu of it.

6.  This year, I will be spending the holidays:  At home with my youngest daughters, husband, Payton (young man that is totally in love with Alexis) and my mother-in-law.

7.  Holiday wish list:  A Kindle or Nook, a quiet day to enjoy the fire and a good book.

I found this series on, the little things we do.  Be sure to check her site out.
