The premise of the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge is to post something on your blog every day in April except for Sundays. In doing this you will have 26 blog posts--one for each letter of the alphabet. Each day you will theme your post according to a letter of the alphabet.
You will only be limited by your own imagination in this challenge. There is an unlimited universe of possibilities. You can post essays, short pieces of fiction, poetry, recipes, travel sketches, or anything else you would like to write about. You don't have to be a writer to do this. You can post photos, including samples of your own art or craftwork. Everyone who blogs can post from A to Z.
ALEXIS
Alexis is our very first grandchild. She was born in Alabama in 1993. From the start, I knew that she would become so special. For you see, we were asked my our Bridgett, if we would adopt her child and raise her as our own. Our Bridgett, was only 16 at the time. So I quit teaching and became a stay at home mother.
Our Alexis is now 17, and beautiful. She tells me all the time that she does not have a heart, because she keeps breaking the guys hearts. But I know she does. She is very gentle with children and she loves horses. She drives her own car, a very yellow Exterra. She is wanting to go to Cosmetology school this fall.
As parents, we are very proud of her. I know that the Lord has a plan for her life. Now if she will just allow Him to lead her, I know that her life will be full of joy and peace. I also know that the Lord has that perfect young man just waiting to claim her heart.
That is a gorgeous picture of Alexis!
ReplyDeleteI thrilled for all of you. To give a child a home is a very special gift and to raise a child with love and a heart turned to God is remarkable. I noticed that you haven't posted anything else in the challenge and just want to say, don't give up. If you go to most blogs and leave a comment, they will follow you back to your blog. There are over 1200 bloggers listed. I started at the back.
